Our Roots

From the Backwaters to the Silicon Valley of India

Bangalore is a city of dreams, endless hustle, and fast-paced IT life. But amidst the glowing coding screens and tight corporate deadlines, many expats and young professionals find themselves missing one crucial thing: the comforting, soul-soothing touch of home. There is a distinct homesickness that only a plate of steaming hot matta rice, perfectly spiced fish curry, and a crispy pappadam can cure.

Driven by this deep yearning to preserve our rich gastronomic roots, Kerala Tiffin was born. As a proud culinary venture of Urban Barrow Pvt Ltd, we started with a clear vision: to bridge the gap between cultural heritage and modern urban lifestyles. In 2018, we began in a humble kitchen, serving techies in Whitefield who desperately craved the aroma of fresh coconut oil and roasted spices.

We refuse to take shortcuts. Authentic Kerala cuisine is an art form that demands patience. Every morning, our kitchen echoes with the rhythmic sound of mustard seeds popping and fresh spices being ground on stone. We source our spices directly from the misty hills of Wayanad and slow-cook our curries in traditional clay pots (manchatti) to lock in those rustic, earthy flavors.

Our mission is simple: to serve pure nostalgia on a banana leaf. One bite of our perfectly fermented Appam dipped in aromatic Stew should transport you straight back to your mother’s dining room. We aren't just delivering food; we are delivering a warm hug, a cherished memory, and a piece of Kerala's glorious heritage right to your doorstep. At Kerala Tiffin, you aren't just a customer; you are family.

Our Promise

The Kerala Tiffin Philosophy

Hand-Pounded Spices

We source raw spices directly from Wayanad and grind them in-house daily to preserve their natural oils and intense aromas.

Traditional Cooking

No microwaves, no instant pastes. We slow-cook our curries in traditional earthen pots (manchatti) to lock in the true rustic flavors.

Farm to Table

We extract fresh coconut milk every morning and source local, fresh vegetables daily to ensure zero compromise on quality.

Pure Coconut Oil

Authentic Kerala food demands authentic oil. We use 100% pure, unrefined coconut oil that brings out the true essence of our dishes.

No Artificial Additives

We strictly say NO to MSG, artificial colors, or chemical preservatives. Your health and authentic taste are our top priorities.

Eco-Friendly Spirit

Whenever possible, we use traditional banana leaves and eco-friendly packaging to respect nature, just like our ancestors did.
